My Shrimp Like Spinach !

latest update of my 2ft tank after few month..

middle green stick use to press my spinach leaf to ground of the tank so it wont float.

I Saw 3 Tiny Shrimp !

This is how my tank look like after few month.. added taiyo canister filter, hopefully can make my tank water quality better.. anyway today my otto just dead.. duno why.

Something I notice is my so call "malayan shrimp" by my friends is quite interesting. Below photo is take on november, when I first brought it, it was kinda no colour and with egg at stomach. After that it turn into black and brown strip at body.

In december after egg gone, the body turn mostly brown ki. This the only shrimp act more special. My other 7 Cherry Shrimp are doing quite good I think cause some got pregnant already haha. Hopefully can see baby next month or end of the month.

Below this photo got tiny shrimp ! I dont know it is cherry baby or melayan shrimp baby, hopefully it is melayan shrimp one cause cherry alot place got already haha. And actually I notice got 3 baby shrimp.. hopefully got more hiding and I dint saw it. Notice the middle photo got one black rock, the tiny shrimp are just there without colour. Need zoom only can notice I think :D


Keeping planted tank is fun ! Hopefully got budget to start new tank and scape my tank to better looking with more plant !

Added Malaya Shirmp & Cherry Shrimp And Yamato Shrimp

Just get one malaya shrimp female , cherry male and yamato shrimp last weekend. At first i tot the melaya shrimp is cherry too.. haha

my tank.. hairgrass still not yet fully grow.. so slow.. but water finally turn to very clear :D all fish have remove and hoping for my tiny shrimp come out !

Two Month Later

After two month.. dint really feel so long.. not really much different... big rocks remove.. hair grass grow some.. add some more plant.. still ugly plant tank.. haha

Water duno why always so blurr... maybe need change a few more time then will become clear liao.. hope to be..

hairgrass only start grow fast a bit.. everyday can see few grass pop up.. until new year.. should be fully grow.. haha.. that big leaf duno what name.. grow quite fast.. hope to update more when it grow full hair

Foo CO2 Planted Tank in Kuching

I finally setup my low cost CO2 planted tank in Kuching Sarawak on 26 August 2010 ! I wanted to setup one since a very long time after I watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uafmRtpK7T0 . I just notice that CO2 planted can be so beautiful. Without the knowledge how to setup, I drag some time to figured out and notice that there is low cost way to setup one instead of expenses alot money. Below is my first low cost CO2 planted tank, still need times to wait the plant grow.

I use 1x2 tank for my first startup and only buy dwarf hairgrass for my first CO2 tank experiment and java moss I take from my friends. Plant still very little, I hope to get more new plant in future. CO2 I use DIY method, mix yeast and sugar together. Soil I use organic soil one pack only. Cheap water filter as well.

Only the lighting is a bit more better because it is 55 watt which is consider enough for the tank size I use. I will update from time to time and see what will happen to my first trial hihi. Hope the hairgrass can grow well ! That is the most curious part I hoping for !
